DPF Objective 2021-2022

Goal 1Increase and strengthen NGO membership for Drug Policy Futures to work in Vienna at the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime and its Commission on Narcotic Drugs

Objective 1.1:  Retain all three board member seats on the Vienna Non-Governmental Organization Committee (VNGOC) in the 2022 Election.

Activity 1.1.1   Establish a new members committee to increase VNGOC participation

Activity 1.1.2   Train new members on UNODC, CND, and VNGOC objectives and operations

Activity 1.1.3   Provide Packets for new members to aid them in ease of participation. i.e., voter guides, Speaker guides, and CND attendance and overview guides

Objective 1.2:   Create a strong communications and operating systems for Drug Policy Futures (DPF) Operating Partners and General Members

Activity 1.2.1   Create a DPF Members Directory to include:  Member Name / Picture / Name of Organization / Title / Organizations Logo / Description of Organization / Short Bio of participating member / Email Address / Phone Number / Organizations Website (if applicable)

Activity 1.2.2   Establish a virtual office for the Organization to access working and historical documents.

 Activity1.2.3   Establish an executive committee to provide decision making functions between OP meetings.

Activity 1.2.4   Establish working committees for all DPF objectives

Goal 2:  Have a positive influence on drug policy issues at the Commission on Narcotic Drugs in support of the United Nations International Drug Control Conventions. 

Objective 2.1:   Define science-based prevention and present at the 2022 CND

Activity 2.1.1   Establish a prevention committee to outline standards

Activity 2.1.2   Establish an editorial committee to write a document detailing science based-prevention and submit it at the next CND

Objective 2.2:   Increase speakers for CND

Activity 2.2.1   Establish a Speakers Committee

Activity 2.2.2   Create a Speakers Bureau

Activity 4.3   Support the applications and training for speakers presenting at the CND
